A Mixed Media Colour Challenge #10

Getting my hands dirty with gesso, paints and glue, I decided to join in the fun challenge at the Mixed Media Colour Challenge. This round the challenge is to use the colour scheme below. Click on it to view details on the challenge and to join.

I took some photos and would like to show you the steps I took before you check out the finished project. Or you can scroll down and view it right away. Hope you like it! (It's my first mixed media project.)

First, I covered this circle chipboard with scraps of paper and crepe paper around it as a border.

Next, I covered it with gesso and when it's dry, I covered it with some brown paint.

Here's the fun part! I start decorating it with some of my left over prima flowers that I have. I used the packaging of the flowers as part of the project as a photo mat. You'll see it later.

More decorating and moving around the flowers till I'm satisfied.

Stick my photo in and protect it with post it because I was covering my chipboard letters with gesso and then, some paint later on.

Now here's the finished project.

Supplies Used :
(I did not list down the flowers because these are bought about 2 or 3 years ago and I don't remember and all of them were in a box filled with random flowers. But I'm pretty sure that all of them are from Prima.)
