Twelve Tags of Christmas Event with Loll

Hi everyone! I'm super excited to share with you a new tag! It's been a while since I did this because as you know I'm busy with the wedding preparations but also making Christmas cards :) Don't get me wrong, I'm having fun :)

Today, I'm sharing with you a mixed media tag I've made for my crafty friend, Loll Thompson's Twelve Tags of Christmas Event. Head over to her blog and you can see tags from other designers that she has invited and, pssst, I think there's a prize involved! :)

Guest Designer Post - Rubber Dance Art Stamps #2

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another tag with you using some stamp sets from the Rubber Dance Art stamps. They have very artistic looking stamp sets as well as great sentiments that you can make cards with.

The Mirror Crack'd Mixed Media Challenge #2

Guest Designer Post - Rubber Dance Art Stamps

Hi everyone! Today I have a special Guest Designer Post to share with you. I'm very honoured to be able to play with some stamp sets from the Rubber Dance Art stamps. Tag It Wednesday - Wrap Up

Hi! Thank you for everyone who visits my Tag It Wednesday posts. I would love to continue but for now I need to pause it as I'll be traveling for 3 weeks to Germany. I will begin Tag It Wednesday again in August. You can view my previous tags, tag entries and tag video/photo tutorials here.

I apologise for the late wrap up post because I was busy last week and couldn't get some photos up. I would love to share with you a tag for this post.



For this tag, I'm using Lindy's Stamp Gang's sprays and TCW stencils. The specific details of the products used are at the end of this post.

I sprayed 4 different colours on a plastic so that I can dip my tag on it. 

 I love how the colour looks :) 

Then, I mixed the Magical powders from Lindy's with texture paste.  I have never done this before and I'm really happy with the results. 

I took the the coloured paste and use a TCW stencil with it. 

 Finishing up with another awesome stencil by TCW, designed by Julie Balzer with just a plain white texture paste. The effects are so different when you mix the texture paste with some colours first or spray/paint it after that.

Tag It Wednesday - Blue

For those who are new to my site, I have decided to do a new blog segment called Tag It Wednesday. I will be making tags, of course, every Wednesday with a colour theme. This post will come with photo tutorial or video. Either way, there will be a tutorial and perhaps some tips along the way. Today's theme is the colour : Blue. Hope you like my tag!

As always, I'm sticking to a Mixed Media technique but I wanted to keep it relatively simple.

   First, I'll always prime my tag with a gesso. Then, I misted the tag with my first layer of blue using tattered angels mist and TCW stencil. 

Just to add a little interest to the background, I used a texture paste and went over some tiny dots TCW stencils. 

Using my favourite butterfly stencil, I went over it with the same texture paste and place it to the top of the tag.

Now comes my favourite part, dripping colours :D
