Create A Smile are a new stamps company in town - their first stamps were released in July 2014. The stamps are made of high quality photo-polymer and produced in Germany. They will for sure make you smile!
Create A Smile is releasing three sets TOMORROW! You can find their store at www.createasmilestamps.com, the stamps will be available for purchase at 8am CET (2am EST).
You can win a 12,50€ gift-certificate for the store - all you need to do is hop along and leave comments on all the fantastic and inspiring stops (one comment per person, per blog please!).
We’ll pick random winner from all the comments - so the more blogs you visit (and leave a comment on) - the more chances you have to be a winner!
You have until Saturday September 12th, 8am CET (that's 2am EST). The winner will be announced on the Create A Smile Blog on Sunday (September 13th)
Enjoy the hop!
Okay, now that we have that sorted out, here's my card! I've created a video to show you how I did it. I'm still really new with making voiceovers and I get a bit nervous and might say the wrong words but I hope you will still enjoy it. Click on the play button below. If you'd like to, you can subscribe to my youtube channel as I will be making more of these in the future.
In this card, I used the Penguin Party & Für Alle Fälle stamp set. (You will see all the stamps sets just below my card.) I'm so excited that Christine released a German sentiment set because my future husband is German and also almost 3/4 of my friends are Germans so it's really awesome to have stamp set like this around.
Anyways, I took the little penguin in the set and decided stretch the usage of that image. I made it look like the penguin is holding multiple parachutes while flying down. I just wanted to make a cheerful card to match the sentiment (which means Congrats).
I took the tiny arrow in the Für Alle Fälle stamp set to create my own patterned paper. I used the Hero Arts Tide Pool ink to create this tone on tone look. It's very light but it's there and I think it gives a nice touch to the card.
These are the stamp sets I used for my card :
Now, go hop along!
Marina Johan - You are here

ReplyDeleteSorry, my schoolgirl Germany would simply make you hoot with merriment! But your card is just brilliant and thank you so much for the video. Obviously I am not the only one who find the penguins so appealing :).
ReplyDeleteMarina,
ReplyDeleteDANKE for the video - I didn't know you were making one - sooo awesome! And your pronunciation was good! :)
Adding many paragliders is such a clever idea, and having the sentiment in the center is so out of the box - I would never have thought of it. Fabulous! I am so happy you're guesting this month and can't wait to see all your other creations!
Btw: I got an email from a German reader who told me that our choice of guests is "sensational" and she found the most amazing blogs through that hop. Just wanted to let you all know ;)
Hugs
Christine
