Hi! I'm here to share a card I made for the March Card Challenge over at Scrapbook.com. I choose the Photo Inspiration category because it was colourful and instantly, I knew what I wanted to do.
This is the photo.
I knew I wanted to make some kind of rainbow background with the new stamp set I just purchased. It's the Starry Backdrops by Lawn Fawn. I used distress ink to create the background.
Love this card!!! Just curious if there's any guide on how you did it? I'm thinking you white embossed the stars and then inked over top? How did you get the colours to be so light and blend so well?
You are right, I white embossed the stars. As for the ink, I smooched distress ink colours on a plastic sheet (as I don't own a ranger craft sheet), misted it with water and just press the paper on the ink. The colours appears light because of the amount of water I've misted :)
Hope you'll try this technique and share it with me. Good luck!
